Q2 2024 Android Performance of Top Theme Parks Apps in the US

In Q2 2024, the theme parks category on Android saw varied performances among its top apps in the US, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a snapshot of how each app fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

Disneyland® Paris experienced a notable peak in downloads reaching nearly 600K in late April, with weekly active users (WAUs) also hitting a high of over 1.3M in the same month. While downloads saw a slight downturn towards June, active users remained fairly stable, with a slight uptick to over 1M by the quarter's end.

The Gardaland Resort Official App showed a spike in downloads to 330K in late April, coinciding with a rise in WAUs to nearly 280K. The following months saw a decrease, with downloads dropping to around 50K and WAUs dipping to 68K but rebounding to 159K towards the end of June.

Europa-Park & Rulantica also peaked in April with downloads at 179K and WAUs reaching 232K. A gradual decrease was observed in subsequent weeks, but the app finished the quarter on a high note with downloads and WAUs climbing back up to 178K and 238K, respectively.

Disneyland® saw a steady increase in downloads from 49K to 83K between early April and early May, with active users peaking at 170K in the same timeframe. The following weeks saw a slight fluctuation with downloads and WAUs eventually stabilizing around 50K and 125K, respectively, by the quarter's close.

Lastly, My Disney Experience maintained a consistent download range between 24K and 47K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users showed a similar pattern, with numbers hovering around the 100K mark, apart from a spike to 126K in mid-June.
